I got sent home from Summer camp for flu-like symptoms. Turned out I had a cold, but last year I had the flu at camp and they didn't send me home, I blame the fear of Swine Flu. Last year I took the class History of Disease, about a college level course, and it really opened my eyes on epidemics and things of the like. One thing I'm seeing now is that we need not worry too much about swine flu, because it will not destroy the human race, if this many people are being infected by it, but with this low a death rate, then we can say that the people who aren't dying are probably gaining a resistance against this type of Swine Flu. Another thing to say is that yes those in third-world countries will probably suffer more from this due to their poor health-care and poor environment. However the good thing we can do (Me speaking from the USA) is to keep our immune systems strong, that's the best thing we can do, and at the first sign of symptoms go to the doctor. Anyways that's my 2 cents. _________________ Armyman!

I posted this 2 days ago. Now, there are ~194000 cases and 1532 deaths. The illness isn't too fatal, yes; but the fact that it's spreading so quickly makes it dangerous. ~7000 confirmed cases and ~120 deaths in just two days? That's... not good.
On an unrelated note, Lucid %100 lives in Singapore. |

I'm a Singaporean, but right now lives in Malaysia. But that's out of the topic. _________________
